Ashwin Shashindranath is a Partner at Energy Impact Partners (EIP), co-leading the Deep Decarbonization Frontier Strategy. He focuses on investments in revolutionary technologies that will have a major impact on mitigating the effects of climate change. He is passionate about working with entrepreneurs who are genuinely excited about being agents of change in the climate tech landscape. Ashwin brings 17 years of experience with a unique combination of investment and hands-on entrepreneurial experience at startups. Prior to joining EIP, Ashwin was a Managing Director in Macquarie Capital’s Green Investment Group leading venture capital and growth equity investments in energy and mobility transition. And previously, he was a Managing Director at Evergy Ventures, venture capital arm of Evergy Inc. (Investor-owned regulated electric utility) leading over a dozen successful startup investments. Ashwin is a Kauffman Fellow (class of 24) and serves as a mentor at several climate tech incubators. He attended Missouri Institute of Science and Technology, where he received a bachelor’s degree, with Honors, in electrical engineering.
