Rodrigo Fonseca is a Co-founder of EMX Capital. He was a Principal at The Carlyle Group where he led the evaluation, structuring and financing of the ULA acquisition and actively participated in monitoring, value added initiatives, add-on acquisition, take-out of partners and ultimate exit. Additionally Rodrigo led the evaluation and financing of Arabela acquisition, actively participates in monitoring and value added initiatives including Central America expansion launched shortly after Carlyle’s acquisition, and serves as Board Member. Prior to joining Carlyle, Rodrigo worked at Merrill Lynch & Co (New York / Mexico City) where he was responsible for relationships and origination of transactions with Mexican clients. Prior to that, Rodrigo was a Vice President at GE Capital in New York. He also served as a Business Analyst with McKinsey & Co. where he worked on strategic advisory projects. Rodrigo Fonseca received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his B.S. in industrial engineering from the Universidad Anáhuac.
