Kai's career has been focused on management consulting for leading players, however he also has a background in family businesses. He was at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) for nearly 20 years, where he focused on industrial goods and selected customers from the health care field, as well as carrying out analyses for private equity acquisition projects. He advised both multinational corporations and midsized companies, many of them family-owned. His experience includes numerous strategy cases (portfolio and business unit strategies), profit improvement projects, post-merger integrations, organizational redesign, as well as a significant amount of projects for several private equity firms. Kai held several management positions within BCG, including Member of the German Management Team. Kai is co-owner of his father's family business, as well as of a small venture founded ten years ago. Furthermore he is executor of estate and on the advisory board of a large family company. He holds a Master's Degree and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich.
