Bio

Chai co-founded Elysian in 2007. He qualified as a doctor and spent five years in the National Health Service before working in financial services. Since 1988, Chai has been an entrepreneur and led three successful healthcare build up investments, namely: Court Cavendish which he transformed into Care First Group, Westminster Healthcare, and the Priory Group, which was backed by Doughty Hanson. He has been Chairman of HC-One, the care home group since 2011. Chai is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and was awarded the CBE in 1999.
