Bio

Abrar is a co-founder and Managing Director of Elixir Capital. Prior to Elixir, Abrar was a corporate partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and one of the most notable emerging markets private equity experts in the country – regularly sought out by some of the world’s largest investment funds including Soros Fund Management, the Carlyle Group and New Enterprise Associates. Abrar serves an adjunct professor at the University of California, Berkeley Boalt Hall School of Law and at Vanderbilt University, School of Law where he teaches private equity. He has also spoken extensively at institutions such as the Harvard Business School, Harvard’s Kennedy School and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on the subject of private equity and investing in emerging markets.
