Mr. Smiley is a Director at Edge Natural Resources LLC. Prior to joining Edge, he was co-founder and CEO of EnerPol, LLC, an oilfield service company focused on developing patented technologies to reduce the cost and environmental impact of oil and gas operations. In 2015, the majority of EnerPol, LLC’s business was sold to a strategic buyer. Before founding EnerPol, LLC, Mr. Smiley was a Consultant in The Boston Consulting Group’s Dallas office where he worked primarily with private equity and energy clients. Mr. Smiley received a B.A. in Government and a B.B.A. in Finance in 2008 from The University of Texas at Austin.
