John Dyment is a Managing Director and the Head of the Dyal Business Services Platform. He has 32 years of experience in the asset management and financial services industry. He was previously a founding partner in Lutetium Capital, an event-driven credit hedge fund where he led all operations, finance and client-facing functions. At Lutetium he built and launched three separate vehicles: a hedge fund, a 40-Act and a UCITS product. Prior to that, John was Global Head of Hedge Fund Distribution for the UBS Investment Bank, and also President of Shumway Capital Partners, a $9 billion multi-asset hedge fund. At Shumway he was a member of the management committee and co-managed all operations, finance, legal, and trading. In addition he spent considerable time marketing and meeting with the firm’s 400 institutional clients around the world. Prior to his time at Shumway, John was Global Head of the Hedge Fund Capital Group at Deutsche Bank and also built and managed Goldman’s Capital Introduction business. John holds a B.S. from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
