Bio

David is a capital markets professional with over 7 years experience in finance and biotech. He joined DRI Healthcare in 2022 to lead the Investor Relations department. David began his career at Scotiabank with roles in risk management and corporate banking where he conducted counterparty credit analysis of corporate clients in the energy, healthcare, shipping, communications, and technology sectors. Most recently, David was the head of investor relations and corporate secretary at EmpowerPharm, a clinical stage biotech, where he helped raise $50 million from over 150 shareholders. David holds a BA in psychology from McGill University and a joint JD/MBA from Queen’s University. He is a member of to the New York State Bar Association, the Governance Professionals of Canada, and attained his Investor Relations certification (IRC) from the National Investor Relations Institute. David is a founding member of Lay-Up, a charity that has sent over 3000 underprivileged children to leadership basketball camps across Toronto and he is a board member of the Ontario chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.
