Previously, Mr. Welge was the managing partner of the M&A and investment consulting firm Equity Link. Here he advised international medium-sized companies on a wide variety of transactions, including the solution of succession planning, the financing of turnarounds or industry consolidation through acquisitions. Until the end of 2004, Mr. Welge was Deputy Director in the European investment house Industri Kapital. Here he was instrumental in building up Industri Kapital in Germany. Mr. Welge has accompanied numerous investment transactions in a leading role there over a period of around eight years. After studying economics in Freiburg and Bonn, Mr. Welge began his professional career in investment banking at Merrill Lynch in London in the Mergers & Acquisitions division, where he advised companies and financial investors on company acquisitions and sales.
