Amaury Kalt joins Demeter as an Investment Director in the Venture team. He will focus on the ‘VitiRev’ venture fund which aims to support innovative start-up providing solutions for the ecological transition of the viticulture and wine sector. Graduating from AgroParisTech Engineering School and HEC Paris, Amaury has more than 7 years expertise, in agri, agro, wine & spirits sectors. After several corporate finance consultancy missions abroad (Singapore, London, Basel), he joined the M&A team of Rabobank (Paris, Ultrech). The Parisian office is specialised in agri, wine & sell-side deals. In 2017 he created a M&A boutique called AWS Advisory (Agro, Wine & Spirits). He worked for : start-ups in their fundraising (vertical farms, meal in drinks, agricultural innovations) ; private equity funds in their investment analyses (high added value insect proteins, algae-based biotechnologies, personalised medicine by bacteria); managers of SMEs to sell their business (winegrowers, producers of spiced rum, innovative agro-industrial) and acquire targets (vineyards in Spain and New Zealand); and finally M&A banks to finalise transactions and restructurings. Amaury passed the WSET 3 certificate in 2017 (Wine & Spirits Education Trust).
