Richard Perez has over 20 years of financial services experience and family office expertise, and has spent his career advising wealthy families, closely held business owners, and family offices across a wide range of wealth management disciplines, with a focus on investment strategy, management, and execution. Prior to joining Cynosure Management LLC, Mr. Perez was a Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), where he was responsible for advising founders, wealth creators, business owners, and family offices on investment strategy and portfolio execution. Before joining SVB, he served as Chief Investment Officer of the family office business of 40 North Management, a large New York-based RIA, where he oversaw the firm’s external manager and advisory platform. Mr. Perez joined 40 North from Soros Fund Management, where was a Senior Analyst helping lead the external manager selection team, investing on behalf of the Soros family and affiliated foundations. Mr. Perez began his career at Goldman Sachs, where he was a Vice President in Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Hedge Fund Strategies group and Head of Research for the Tactical Trading Strategies sector, and was responsible for due diligence and asset allocation decisions for multi-manager portfolios with AUM of over $8 billion. Mr. Perez earned a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
