Matt Johnson feels that working at Cynosure represents an opportunity to do something that he loves in a more flexible and entrepreneurial way than was possible as a career banker: to create value for investors who are known for their philanthropic pursuits, and to learn from and closely associate with great business minds. Matt joined The Cynosure Group in 2022 and helps to manage the firm’s private credit strategy. Prior to working at Cynosure, he spent more than 20 years in the banking industry, where his primary focus was credit asset management and growth. Most recently, he was a Senior Vice President at Zions Bank, where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing senior secured credit facilities in support of private equity sponsors. He graduated from the University of Utah with a B.A. in Economics.
