Bio

Jason Cain is a Managing Director with Cynosure Wealth Advisors, responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive, advice-based wealth management solutions for entrepreneurs, founders, executives, family offices and their professional advisors. Mr. Cain has spent more than 30 years advising wealth creators on the many aspects of managing and administering the complexities of significant wealth while integrating, family office administration, strategic wealth transfer planning, asset protection planning, tax mitigation, governance and legacy planning along with capital deployment. Prior to his current role, Mr. Cain was the Chief Wealth Strategist for SVB Private where he was responsible for the coordination and delivery of multi-family office services to entrepreneurial business owners, innovators and their families. Mr. Cain spent the first 15 years of his career as a tax and estate planning attorney in Chicago representing families in the strategic design, implementation and administration of complex structures to manage generational wealth. In 2007, he left private practice to design and manage a single-family office for a Forbes 400 family. From 2011 through 2019, he built integrated wealth management services for ultra-high net worth clients at Credit Suisse Private Bank, USA and Mirador Family Wealth Advisors, the family office division of Fifth Third Bank, and was a Managing Partner with BDO USA, LLP, where he was the architect of the firm’s national family office services practice. Mr. Cain is a Lecturer in the Master's in Wealth Management program at Columbia University School of Professional Studies Mr. Cain received his bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University, his Juris Doctorate from Widener University, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from DePaul University.
