Clayton Cochran is a managing director for Cynosure Wealth Advisors. In this role Clay is responsible for strategic asset allocation, tactical security selection, and portfolio construction in addition to day-to-day portfolio management duties for his client base. Previously Clay has held senior positions at SVB Private and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. An expert in investment selection and portfolio construction, Clay is passionate about delivering a more refined and quantitative method of wealth management by applying an endowment model approach to wealth management; this offers clients with balance sheets approaching and exceeding $50 to $100 million with the benefit of strategic perspectives of both a CIO and CFO. In an environment that can be emotional for clients, Clay provides sound, analytical, and objective advice that helps to remove stress from intense decisions. Clay earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from DePaul University. He is a CFA® charterholder and holds a FINRA Series 65 license.
