Bio

Alex is driven by his passion for learning and loves using data to analyze complex questions. Prior to joining Cynosure, Alex worked in banking for 15 years, beginning his career at Citigroup in Southern California within a specialty leveraged finance group focused on restaurant-related transactions. More recently, Alex worked at Zions Bank where he evaluated private equity-backed financing opportunities and managed a portfolio of credits. Alex also led Zions Bancorporation’s CRE credit loss modeling efforts for the CCAR submission to the Federal Reserve and held various other analytics and risk management roles. His experience with data analytics, forecasting tools, and credit analysis provides a broad skillset to help Cynosure manage its private credit strategy and allows Alex to evaluate new credit investment opportunities through a unique lens. Alex was born and raised near Yellowstone National Park and loves the outdoors. He enjoys alpine skiing, fly fishing, and time with his wife and three kids. He graduated from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management with an MBA and B.S. in Business Management.
