Alistair leads a research centre of excellence that delivers focused and impactful research, develops robust and consistent tools and ensures efficient operations. Previously, he was Managing Director and Head of Balancing Portfolio Management; and before that a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Global Tactical Asset Allocation group within Public Market Investments. Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2008, Alistair spent 10 years at UBS Global Asset Management in London, where he was a Portfolio Manager responsible for both an absolute return macro fund, and for the asset allocation within traditional, long-only balanced portfolios. Before that, he spent six years as an economist at the Bank of England in the Monetary Analysis and International Divisions. Alistair holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Leicester and a Master’s degree from the University of Manchester. He is a CFA charterholder.
