Slava Shafir is an Operating Partner of Corsair Buyouts based in London. Mr. Shafir is an Operating Executive with over 20 years’ experience in banking, operations and technology. He has held roles of COO and CIO in financial services technology and Fintech transformation companies. Prior to Corsair, Mr. Shafir spent almost a decade at Barclays Venture Capital (“Barclays Venture”), where he led the business development and partner strategy that developed a high growth technology business through organic build-out, commercial partnerships, and venture investing. During his tenure at Barclays Venture, Mr. Shafir worked closely with Fortune 500 and fast-growth tech companies to capture the commercial value and go-to-market transformation. Before joining Barclays Ventures, Mr. Shafir worked for over a decade at Deutsche Bank where he held roles of Head of Digital and COO. While at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Shafir was responsible for technology, operations, compliance and risk management and overall delivery of the commercial strategy through value chain revenue generation, increasing customer value, and focusing on business growth priorities. Mr. Shafir began his career at Alex, Brown where he was an IT sector financial analyst. Mr. Shafir graduated from the University of Baltimore where he received a B.S. degree with a focus in Finance.
