Prior to CITG, Shan worked for GTCR, a Chicago-based private equity firm, where he focused on evaluating investments in software and business services. Prior to that, he worked at Morgan Stanley's Princes' Gate Investors fund in New York, where he focused largely on venture investing in areas such as data storage and enterprise software. Prior to that, Shan worked in investment banking with Morgan Stanley's Mergers, Acquisitions, and Restructurings group in New York. While at CITG, Shan served as President of Evigna and led its acquisition, restructuring, and eventual sale in 2010. Shan received a BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and a MBA from INSEAD.
