Bio

Michael has over 30 years of private equity investing and family business operation experience. He has been with Chicago Capital Partners since 2018. Prior to joining CCP, Michael served as a Managing Director with both Wind Point Partners, a middle-market private equity firm with $2 billion in capital under management and AGR Partners which provides capital to food and agri-businesses. Prior to private equity, Michael served in both sales and strategy leadership roles in his family’s manufacturing business, Werner Ladder. Michael began his career at Bain as an Associate Consultant, and at Goldman Sachs as an investment banking associate. Michael has a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Wharton School of Management. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of a number of CCP’s portfolio companies as well as The Yellowstone Park Foundation. Michael lives in Glencoe, Illinois with his wife Julie, and they visit their children, Rebecca, Ariana, and Daniel across the US.
