Mr. Berlin is Global Head of Real Estate Fundraising for Cerberus, overseeing capital raising for the Firm’s Real Estate platform. He joined Cerberus in 2019 and previously, was Head of Real Estate Fundraising and Global Consultant Relationships for Brookfield Asset Management. In that role, he led U.S. fundraising efforts across real estate debt and equity strategies and was also responsible for Brookfield’s global real estate consultant relationships. Prior to Brookfield, Mr. Berlin was Global Head of Real Estate Fundraising at AllianceBernstein and was responsible for all real estate fundraising initiatives for its private equity real estate group. From 2005 to 2010, he was a Managing Director at Tishman Speyer, where he oversaw investor relationships and capital raising for the firm’s global funds and co-investments. He also was a Partner at Invesco Realty Advisors from 2001 to 2005, where he managed fundraising in the United States and Australia across the spectrum of Invesco’s real estate products. Prior to Invesco, Mr. Berlin was at J.P. Morgan Investment Management within its real estate capital raising function. From 1995 to 2000, he was a Senior Consultant at The Townsend Group and responsible for multiple discretionary and advisory client account relationships as well as fund and property specific due diligence. Mr. Berlin received a B.A. and M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also received a J.D. from Cleveland State University.
