Mr. Beard has over 30 years of experience leading and improving the strategic and operational performance of middle market industrial businesses. Previously, Mr. Beard was Chairman and CEO of Wolverine Advanced Materials, a leading manufacturer of specialty rubber coated materials. He also served as President and CEO of Constar International, a global packaging business serving the food and beverage industries. Mr. Beard’s previous experience also includes being a Partner at The Anderson Group, a private equity firm focused on middle market buyouts; President and CEO of TriMas Corporation, a multi-national industrial conglomerate of specialty products; and Chairman, President and CEO of Health Media, Inc., a provider of health risk assessment products. Mr. Beard also serves as a Senior Advisor to Blue Point Capital Partners and serves on several company boards including; Advanced Energy Industries, FM Sylvan, LINC Systems, The Merit Distribution Group and Italian Rose Foods. Mr. Beard has a B.S. and M.B.A. in Finance from Miami University and a M.A. in International Economics from the University of Detroit. Mr. Beard is an avid fisherman and enjoys golf, all things social and spending time with his wife and two children.
