Bio

Melanie is a Managing Director of CDIB Capital. She is primarily responsible for overseeing the legal and compliance aspects and structuring of the Fund’s investments, in addition to other operational and administrative responsibilities. Prior to joining CDIB Capital, Melanie was the general counsel for the CDF group and before that Senior Attorney at Lee and Li, Attorneys-at-Law; where she had led or worked on numerous cross-border investments as well as high profile mergers and acquisitions, takeovers, privatization and international litigation/arbitration. Melanie is licensed to practice law in the State of California, USA and in Taiwan, and is a certified patent analyst and biotech industry management professional (Level 1) in Taiwan. Melanie is currently the Committee Secretary for Corporate Social Responsibilities under the Board of Directors of CDF, spearheading several group-wide ESG projects. She sits on the board of the Foundation for Yunus Social Business, Taiwan. Melanie holds an MSc. of Global Finance from the NYU Stern - Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, an LLM from Soochow University, and a BA from Sarah Lawrence College.
