Mr. Knisely joined CD&R in 2010 and has over 20 years' experience as a senior executive in the diversified industrials category. He spent a decade as executive vice president and corporate officer of Danaher Corporation where he was responsible for businesses totaling more than $4 billion in sales. He serves as chairman of CD&R portfolio companies Carestream Dental, Covetrus, and White Cap and played the lead operating role in the Firm’s prior investments in Atkore and Roofing Supply Group. Prior to Danaher, Mr. Knisely co-founded Colfax Corporation, a designer, manufacturer, and distributer of fluid handling products, serving as president and CEO. Previously, Mr. Knisely was president and CEO of AMF Industries, a privately held diversified manufacturer, and spent 10 years at Emerson Electric Co. Mr. Knisely has an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia and a B.S. in industrial engineering from the General Motors Institute where he was a GM Fellowship Scholar.
