Mark is a Partner and Head of North American Private Equity at Cathay Capital in New York. During his time at Cathay, Mark has originated, executed, and led post-closing activities for many of the firm’s private equity transactions in North America while deepening the firm’s presence in the North American market. As a seasoned low- and mid-market private equity investor across the US and Canada, he has led transactions in control and non-control capacities, including succession, growth capital, leveraged buy-outs, buy-and-build, and cross-border investments. Mark is currently Chairman of the Board of Innovative Ergonomic Solutions and Innovation Motion Technologies while serving as a Director of Artisanal Brewing Ventures and Moose Knuckles. Prior to joining Cathay Capital, Mark was at Chartwell Investments and at JPMorgan’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group where he executed transactions across a diverse range of sectors. Mark started his career with Procter & Gamble where he held various operational finance positions. Mark earned his B.S. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
