David Volk joined Castle Creek® in 2005. He sits on the Investment Committee for the Castle Creek funds and is primarily responsible for leading analytical processes related to evaluation of investment opportunities and transactions, monitoring of investment performance, and portfolio risk management. David also works directly with Castle Creek’s portfolio companies including currently serving on the board of directors at Bank of Idaho Holding Company, Bridgewater Bancshares, InBankshares, and Southern California Bancorp. He is also a member of the Investment Committee for Castle Creek Launchpad Fund I, a venture capital fund focused on the intersection of Fintech and Community Banking. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as an associate with TW Associates Capital, Inc., which provided merger & acquisition and corporate financing advisory services to small and middle market companies. Previously, he worked at Ernst & Young, where he assisted clients with corporate restructurings, capital raising and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Volk holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Santa Clara University and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Virginia.
