Bio

Ivan Whittey is a Director at Carrick Capital Partners, where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing new investments and supporting portfolio companies. Within Carrick’s current portfolio, he is an active member of the Everspring board and a board observer for Factor Law. Ivan also works closely with Exiger and DailyPay and leads the thematic sourcing efforts within the risk & compliance, legal, and education sectors. Prior to joining Carrick, Ivan was on the investing teams of Spire Capital Partners, a private equity firm that invests in lower middle market technology and technology-enabled services businesses, and Lindsay Goldberg, a private equity firm focused on middle market leveraged buyouts. Ivan began his career in Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division. Ivan earned an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with honors, and a BS from the Marshall School of Business of the University of Southern California, where he graduated magna cum laude and was selected for the Order of the Laurel and the Palm. Outside of work, Ivan enjoys cooking, martial arts, and doing anything outdoors, especially fishing and taking triathlon training too seriously.
