Peter J. Munson, also known as Pete, is a Co-Founder of Cardinal Equity Partners and serves as a Managing Director. Pete joined Cardinal Equity Partners, a middle-market Private Equity Group, in April 2008. Prior to joining Cardinal, Pete served as a Senior Vice President at JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Indianapolis and served as CHI’s account and relationship manager at JP Morgan Chase from 1996 until 2005. In his role, he was responsible for the Commercial Banking efforts for half of the State of Indiana, specifically Central Indiana and Ft. Wayne, which included profit and loss, sales, and marketing initiatives for all the JPM products, credit quality of the loan portfolio, and motivating, coaching, and recruiting professional staff. Munson currently serves as the Chairman of Contour Industries, Inc. and Eagle Battery, LLC, and, formerly, Corporate Imaging Concepts, all portfolio companies of Cardinal. He also formerly served as a Director at OrthoPediatrics Corp.(KIDS on Nasdaq) and serves as Director of Motion Tech Automation, Inc.; and ESSCO Inc. Mr. Munson’s community involvement includes serving on the Development Board for St. Theodore Guerin Catholic High School, and former roles on the on the Board of Educational Choice Trust, Parish Council Our Lady of Mt. Carmel; and Finance Council of St. Maria Goretti. Mr. Munson received a B.A. in Economics in 1988 from DePauw University and lives with his wife, Lisa, and their four children in Carmel, IN.
