Bio

Jim brings more than 35 years of manufacturing experience to Capital For Business® (CFB). He started his career in his father’s machine shop at age 12. His professional career began at Remmele Engineering in St. Paul, MN at their Machinist Training Center. After spending a year in this facility, Jim completed a three year apprenticeship program. He progressed through the company’s fast track management plan eventually taking over responsibility for two facilities as Vice President of the Aerospace and Defense Division, managing 220 people and $70 million in revenue. In 2008, Jim became President of Domaille Engineering (“Domaille”) in Rochester, MN, where he and his team doubled sales for both the product line and contract manufacturing business over a 4 year time frame. In late 2011, Domaille was sold to a group of Investors led by CFB. Jim was instrumental in transitioning the business to new ownership. In 2014, Jim relinquished day-to-day management of the Company to the management team he recruited, but remained as CEO and a Board member. In late 2016, CFB sold Domaille. During Jim’s and CFB’s ownership, the Company approximately doubled in sales. This growth was attained via new product development, product line acquisitions, improved distribution channels and a drive for larger, engineering centric projects, all initiatives led or directed by Jim. In 2014 Jim began consulting with CFB in an operational capacity performing business analysis, due diligence, financial partnering, and business growth consulting. In 2016, Jim partnered with CFB on the acquisition of Delco, LLC.
