Helen Down is the Head of Clean Energy Transactions – Legal, working on the acquisition, management, financing and disposal of all UK and European renewable assets managed by Capital Dynamics. She sits on the board of the portfolio entities and is responsible for all legal matters within the platform below the fund entities. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, Helen was the General Counsel of Netro Energy, the asset manager within the Capital Dynamics group which carries out the day to day commercial and technical management of the renewable energy assets. Prior to that, Helen was the General Counsel of the Bluefield Group, a renewable fund investment and asset management business with over 500 MW of solar assets in the UK and Europe. Helen spent 10 years as a corporate transactional lawyer with a focus on technology and energy businesses at international law firm Bird & Bird and prior to that trained at US firm Shearman & Sterling in London, where she qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2004.
