Bio

Scott is the Founder and Managing Partner of Canopy Capital Partners (“CCP). His responsibilities include deal origination and marketing, structuring and negotiating new investments and exits, portfolio company management, fundraising and investor relations. Prior to founding CCP, Scott was a Senior Vice President with Palm Beach Capital (“PBC”), a lower middle market private equity firm where he ran their Tampa, FL office location from 2006 – 2017. While at PBC, Scott focused on deal origination as well as structuring and executing private equity transactions. Prior to joining PBC, he was a Vice President at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in Orlando, FL from 2001 – 2006 where he focused on providing sell-side M&A advisory services for clients and prospects of SunTrust Banks. Scott began his career at Prudential Securities in 1996 in New York City. Scott serves on the Board of Directors of DesignShop Holdings, LLC (Orlando, FL) and is a former Board Member of Freight Force, Inc. (Anaheim, CA), Unitrans International Logistics, Inc. (Inglewood, CA), Interstate Transport, Inc. (St. Petersburg, FL), North American Sub Station Services, LLC (Altamonte Springs, FL) and Apollo Retail Specialists (Tampa, FL). Scott received a BS in Psychology and Business Administration (minor) degree from Vanderbilt University in 1995 and a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Florida in 2000. Originally from Connecticut, Scott has resided in Central Florida since 2001 and lives in Tampa, FL with his wife and two children.
