Bio

Bala joined Cadence in January 2021. He has over 20 years’ experience working with growing Technology companies, and has been involved in over 80 transactions, ranging from fundraisings through to successful exits. Prior to Cadence, Bala spent 4 years at Sovereign Capital, where he built and led the firm’s technology sector coverage from inception. Previously, he was a Director at First Capital, a technology investment bank, where he worked for a decade, after holding a portfolio management role at Advent Venture Partners and working in transaction services at KPMG in Reading and London. Bala holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Commerce from Delhi University. He is also a UK qualified accountant. He has worked in India, the Middle East and has spent significant time in Silicon Valley.
