Bio

Peter Tang is a Principal at Butterfly and is responsible for all aspects of private equity investments, including due diligence, transaction execution, and investment monitoring. He is actively involved with Butterfly’s investments in Bolthouse Farms and Pacifico Aquaculture. Prior to joining Butterfly, Mr. Tang worked at KKR with Mr. Waglay on the Consumer Retail Private Equity team where he was an investment team member on several transactions including Academy Sports + Outdoors and Channel Control Merchants. Previously, Mr. Tang was with Moelis & Company where he was involved in a variety of mergers, acquisitions and restructuring transactions, including several in the food industry. Mr. Tang graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business of the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Honors Business Administration.
