Bio

Chris is an Operating Partner with Building Industry Partners, where he advises on the sourcing and evaluation of potential investments, ensures successful transition management, and provides post-transaction nurturing and oversight. He is an experienced operator of both large and lower middle-market sized businesses, in both PE- and angel- funded investments. Chris’ prior experience includes leading NWI Enterprises for 17 years during its evolution from a small entrepreneurial business into a mid-market diversified supplier with exceptional performance. Under Chris’ leadership, NWI executed a PE-backed management spin out in 2016, after which the team grew revenues in excess of 3X and EBITDA 5X. The business exited in 2018, where he remained in his CEO role until recently. Prior to that, Chris spent nine years at St. Gobain, a €42 Billion global leader in construction materials and glass manufacturing with operations in 68 countries. During his time there, he served in leadership roles across multiple functional areas within Certainteed’s various product divisions. He has worked in building materials for his entire career, including products such as doors and specialty millwork, HVAC metalwork, PVC extrusion, Fibercement Siding, and others. Chris now splits his time between Florida and Colorado, enjoying Florida’s reprieve from the cold weather he experienced growing up in Wisconsin and Minnesota, MN. He graduated with Honors from University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse with a BS in Finance and a BA in Economics.
