Doug Bayerd is a Managing Director in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for investment origination, analysis and execution in the technology and software sectors. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2021, Mr. Bayerd was a Principal at Marlin Equity Partners where he led transactions in technology with an emphasis in enterprise software. Prior to Marlin, Mr. Bayerd worked at Golden Gate Capital, where he focused on software and business services sectors. He also worked in the special situations division of Oaktree Capital Management and began his career at Deutsche Bank, working on leveraged finance and financial sponsor mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Bayerd holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
