Bio

Alex Yang is a Managing Director and head of Greater China for Brookfield’s Private Equity Group and Infrastructure Group. He is responsible for the origination, execution and operation of investments in the region. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2021, Mr. Yang was a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone Private Equity Group based in Hong Kong, a principal at TPG Capital based in Beijing, an associate at Morgan Stanley Investment Banking Division based in New York and an attorney at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He previously served on the boards of Global Sources, Shya Hsin Packaging, Essel Propack and HCP Packaging. Mr. Yang holds a Juris Doctor degree from University of Minnesota Law School, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Law degree from Peking University in China.
