With 30 years of General Management and Private Equity experience, Jim has touched a variety of industries including logistics, transportation, telecommunication and government. As President & CEO of Pallet Logistics of America, Jim helped build one of the most established wooden pallet recycling companies in the US, ultimately leading to a successful sale and recapitalization. As Private Equity Investor and Operator, with CrimStone Partners, Jim has participated in all aspects of direct investing, growing, and exiting five platform companies. From 2019 to 2021, Jim served as the Director (Assistant Secretary) of the Office of Management Strategy and Solutions at the Department of State. Leading a 120-person team, he helped improve alignment of resources with strategic priorities, governance processes, and developed an enterprise-wide data analytics and data management capabilities. Jim serves on the Board of Directors of EN+ Group, IPJSC (MOEX: ENPG) and is Chairman of the Board of Professional Pallets, LLC in Cincinnati, OH. Jim holds a BS (with distinction) in Mathematics from the United States Naval Academy, is a graduate of Naval Nuclear Power School, qualifying first in his class from the prototype phase of training, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
