Bio

Michel joined BCI in 2018. He is responsible for supporting the effective oversight of the corporation’s enterprise risk profile, reporting to the chair of BCI’s audit committee and the chief operating officer. With $211.1 billion of managed assets as of March 31, 2022, BCI is one of Canada’s largest institutional investors within the global capital markets. Prior to joining BCI, Michel progressed through a series of roles in his 11 years at Cannacord Genuity, including his last three as the vice president and global head of internal audit. Michel holds a bachelor of business administration from the University of British Columbia. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Michel is currently a CFA® Program participant, CFA Institute, and completed level 2 in 2021.
