Co-Founder & Managing Partner
John is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Bridger Capital Partners. He has over 30 years of experience in the capital markets, debt markets, and private equity. He has originated and successfully exited investments in a variety of industries including energy, logistics, transportation, infrastructure development, and IT services. Prior to co-founding Bridger Capital Partners, John was a Managing Partner at two other PE firms where he led platform and follow-on acquisitions. He invested in and exited Western Petroleum which combined six firms, expanded into 18 states, and was subsequently sold to Pilot Corp. Among others, he also originated the investment in Track Utilities, which combined two competitors and was sold to CIVC Partners. Previously, John served as a Managing Director at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Capital Markets and held various positions at Standard Chartered and First Interstate Bank Ltd. John holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA with honors from BYU. He serves on various boards and advisory committees. He enjoys fly fishing on the Middle Provo River. When the lakes and streams freeze over in the wintertime, he likes to ski the various resorts in Utah and, when he can really get away, heli-ski in the Canadian Rockies.
