Bio

Aman Miran Khan was born and raised in Spain. After completing his German Abitur at the Louisenlund Boarding School Foundation, he worked in the family business. He subsequently studied business administration in Hamburg, before starting his professional career at the Treuhandanstalt in Berlin. After one year as a privatisation manager, he became self-employed in order to be able to carry out other projects (e.g. consulting for the EBRD for a privatisation project in Poland) in addition to his consulting work for the Treuhandanstalt. In 1994, Aman Miran Khan joined Berenberg Consult G.m.b.H. – Corporate Finance –, the subsidiary of the BERENBERG BANK, founded in 1973 and specialising in M&A transactions. For roughly three years he was in charge of various mandates, mainly focusing on succession planning and corporate spin-offs. In January 1997, he joined 3i Deutschland Gesellschaft für Industriebeteiligungen mbH, Frankfurt/Hamburg to set up their Hamburg office. In 1998, Aman Miran Khan took up the position of founding partner and managing director of BPE in order to set up Private Equity activities for the BERENBERG BANK. In 2000, he initiated the Management Buy-out of BPE together with the former partner, Dr. Andreas M. Odefey.
