Nico brings investing and operating experience with companies ranging from startups to large, mature businesses. Prior to Bonsai, Nico worked at Bird Rides helping lead expansion strategy and operations. Nico joined Bird after working at Pritzker Group Venture Capital, where he focused on early stage and growth investments. In 2015, Nico co-founded Commit Analytics, a profitable SaaS business that helps coaches and athletes analyze training data. Before starting Commit, Nico worked at Odyssey Investment Partners, a leading middle-market private equity firm. He joined Odyssey after working in Investment Banking at J.P. Morgan, where he worked on a number of M&A transactions and equity offerings. Nico was a Neuroscience major and varsity swimmer at Johns Hopkins University for two years. He subsequently transferred to the University of Virginia and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Commerce, concentrating in Finance.
