Mark has had entrepreneurial blood running through his veins from a very young age: as a child in his parents’ business and later as an event organizer and project developer. Mark started his career at Conquaestor, where he gained his initial experience in providing pragmatic advice to finance departments. His passion for the combination of substance and implementation brought him via Kempen Corporate Finance to Van Lanschot Participaties, now Bolster. As a partner he employs his extensive experience to select the right investments and advise executives in a broad sense. “Bringing together what is needed to take our investments to the next level is what energizes me. We draw on our expertise, our capital, but also our network in order to work together to achieve the objectives. We challenge the management to make fundamental choices and to think bigger. As a long-term partner we are heavily involved in purposefully working towards that long-term goal. For me, this is the ultimate combination of thinking and acting.” Mark studied Financial Management at Nyenrode Business Universiteit and Engineering at the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
