Ken has over 30 years of experience in the small and middle market investing business. He was most recently a Principal at American Capital, Ltd., where he opened the Philadelphia office in 2000. While there, he grew the office to 11 people and oversaw investment operations that deployed nearly $1 billion in 24 transactions. Before American Capital, Ken was a General Partner of Meridian Venture Partners, a private equity firm in Radnor, PA. Prior to that, Ken led the commercial and industrial middle market investment banking practice at Berwind Financial. He was a commercial lender in the 1970s and 1980s at three Philadelphia financial institutions: PNC, Mellon Bank and PSFS. Ken has participated as an adviser or principal on over $2 billion of middle market transactions in his career and has been a member of 15 company boards. He has also served as the President and CEO of two companies, a retailer and a manufacturing business. Ken is well-known in the Philadelphia deal community and served as President of the Philadelphia chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth for three years. Ken serves on two committees of the Board of the Fox Chase Cancer Center. He has a BA in Economics from East Stroudsburg State College and an MBA from Drexel University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Ken grew up in Bensalem, PA and now lives in Haverford, PA with his wife and daughter.
