Don is a hands-on, results-driven financial services professional with more than 25 years of experience in the asset management industry. He joined Birch Lake from GCM Grosvenor, one of the world’s largest and most diversified independent alternative asset managers with approximately $50 billion in assets under management. During his 20 years at GCM Grosvenor, Don led the investor relations team for many years and was responsible for managing many of the firm’s key relationships with family offices, endowments, foundations, pension funds and institutions.Don served in the United States Marine Corps from 1985 to 1987. His lifelong commitment to the Marine Corps and to both active duty Marines and veterans has led to service on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Marines Foundation and a leadership role with the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. Don received his Masters of Business Administration from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University and his B.B.A. from Governors State University.
