Eli Smith is an Operating Partner of Bernhard Capital Partners. He is involved in all areas of the Firm’s investment activities. Eli serves on the Board of Directors of Brown & Root and brings over 35 years of experience in procurement, engineering and project execution in the Power and Industrial sectors to Bernhard Capital Partners. Prior to joining Bernhard Capital Partners, Eli most recently served as President of the Power Group at The Shaw Group Inc. until its sale in 2013. Prior to that, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Shaw Power after serving as its Senior Vice President of Procurement, where he began upon joining Shaw in 2009. Eli joined Shaw from Bechtel Corporation where he served as a Principal Vice President and Corporate Manager of Contracts and Procurement. He previously spent 22 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in various senior management positions.
