Bio

Matthias joined Bencis in 2022 and is based in the Brussels office. Prior to joining Bencis, Matthias worked at TBG’s corporate development team (Thyssen-Bornemisza Group) in Zurich, where he focussed on private equity investments and strategic projects in the technology, software and industrials space across Europe and North America. Before that, he worked at Lazard’s Benelux office for 5 years, focusing on cross-border financial advisory for Industrial, Healthcare and Technology clients, and was part of the European Chemicals Team. He started his career at Saphir Capital Partners in London and Luxemburg. Matthias obtained a master’s degree in Electromechanical engineering from the University of Ghent (Belgium), and a master’s degree in Finance from Cass Business School (Bayes) (UK).
