Mr. Marolda is a Managing Director and Co-Founder of TBG. Mr. Marolda has substantial experience in private equity, turnarounds, operations, accounting, and finance. Mr. Marolda is a member of the Investment Committee and has oversight responsibility for portfolio company operations and strategic improvement initiatives. Mr. Marolda is a member of the Boards of Directors of TBG FAC, REVA, Ted’s Café, Delaware Valley Management and New England Management Services. Prior to co-founding TBG in 2004, Mr. Marolda held a number of senior operating roles with Fortune 500 companies including American Express where he managed financial structuring and analysis for the company’s strategic equity investments, and Philips Electronics where he was responsible for corporate strategy, planning and analysis. He began his career as a CPA with Ernst & Young in 1991 providing audit services to clients in the financial services sector, and subsequently joined Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice advising distressed companies in Chapter 11 reorganizations, debt refinancing and business divestitures. He has diverse industry and transaction experience in healthcare, food and restaurants, information technology, consumer and financial services. Mr. Marolda received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude, with a concentration in Accounting and was elected a Joseph Wharton Scholar. Mr. Marolda earned an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management with Distinction and Dean’s Honors.
