Andrew Chen a Managing Director dedicated to private commercial and residential real estate investing for Beach Point, and has been in the real estate finance industry since 2006. Prior to Beach Point, he was a Portfolio Manager at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), where he helped lead all aspects of U.S. commercial real estate equity and debt investing for the world’s largest institutional real estate investor. At ADIA, Mr. Chen was responsible for investing $3.9 billion of equity across 47 distinct transactions. Prior to ADIA, Mr. Chen worked at Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners, where he focused on evaluating and executing opportunistic real estate equity investments. Prior to this, he was a member of Merrill Lynch’s Global Real Estate Investment Banking Group. Mr. Chen received a bachelor’s degree from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and is a CFA Charterholder.
