Bio

Ronald van der Vis is a Founding Member of the bd-capital Operator's Club. Ronald has extensive experience across the retail, consumer products, leisure, healthcare and technology sectors, and has worked closely with private equity and venture capital firms, including Advent International and 3i, on many investments across Europe. Ronald was Executive Director of the Board and Group CEO of Esprit, a global fashion and lifestyle company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Prior to this, he worked for Grandvison NV, the world’s leading optical retailer, first as CEO Central Europe and the last five years as Group CEO. Ronald has served as Chairman on a number of private equity boards and chaired the IPO of Basic-Fit NV on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. He currently serves on a number of boards in the consumer and healthcare services sectors, including the Chairmanship of the European Dental Group, one of the largest dental care clinics and lab businesses in Europe. Ronald graduated from the Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands.
