Bio

Jarett S. Levan is the President of BBX Capital Corporation (NYSE: BBX, OTCQX: BBXTB) and has served on its Board of Directors and that of its former banking subsidiary, BankAtlantic, since 1999. He lends a diverse range of experience, having been CEO and President of BankAtlantic from 2007 to 2012, after joining the company in 1998 as an attorney and since serving in various executive management roles. Under Mr. Levan’s leadership, BankAtlantic grew to a $6 billion Florida banking franchise, with 100 branches and 3,000 employees at its peak. BankAtlantic was one of the first in the country to launch seven-day banking in 2002. The bank won the J.D. Power and Associates 2010 Retail Banking Satisfaction award, ranking highest for Customer Satisfaction in Florida. BankAtlantic also operated with one of the lowest cost of deposits in the banking industry. Mr. Levan is actively involved in the community, holding several leadership positions and recognitions for achievement. Mr. Levan serves on the boards of Broward Performing Arts Foundation and Community Foundation of Broward, and is the founding Board Chair of the Business for the Arts of Broward. He is a Board Member of the Broward College Foundation, the Broward Workshop and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Foundation, a member of the Nova Southeastern University Ambassadors’ Board and Fellows’ Society, Advisory Board Member of the Hollywood Art and Culture Center, and is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). Mr. Levan was the Steering Committee Chair of the 2020 Broward County Community Cultural Plan. Mr. Levan has been inducted into the Junior Achievement South Florida Business Hall of Fame, recognized for his record of business achievement, excellence, vision, leadership and community responsibility. Mr. Levan is also on the board of the BBX Capital Foundation, formerly the BankAtlantic Foundation, which was established in 1994 to support a wide array of activities in the arts, education, social welfare, and community and economic development. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded more than $15 million in contributions and in-kind services to charitable organizations throughout the state of Florida. A member of the Florida Bar, Mr. Levan graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami School of Law, and earned a BBA in Finance from Goizueta Business School of Emory University.
