Bio

James is a Principal of H.I.G.’s Bayside Capital based in Los Angeles, where he focuses on corporate stressed and distressed credit and special situations primarily in North America. James is involved in all aspects of the investment process - from origination and research; to structuring, execution and portfolio company oversight. Prior to joining Bayside, James spent time at credit and special situations focused hedge fund Silver Point Capital and middle market investment bank Sterne Agee. James received his undergraduate degree with honors from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management and earned his M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School.
